Today we saw one of the greatest comebacks that have been seen for a while, at Stamford Bridge where Manchester United and Chelsea went on head to head. From a score which ended 3-0 at the beginning of the first half with the Blues in advantage, the Reds made a great comeback and ended the game at 3-3 by the final whistle.
Man U were playing full on attack with Rooney, Welback, Giggs and Young, however, Chelsea did not let this get in their way and initiated their defence mode.
Goal 1 (36th minute): The first goal happened with Sturridge recieving a pass from Mata, as soon as he had the chance, he headed the ball in to a team mate, instead it hit Johnny Evans on the chest with the ball ending up in his own net, own goal it is.
Goal 2 (46th minute): The second goal came from Juan Mata, who delivered a great first touch volley after Fernando Torres making a great run down the line and crossing it right to the position.
Goal 3 (51st minute): Four minutes after the second goal, Chelsea boss Villas-Boas jumped for joy after David Luiz scored a header in to the goal thanks to the free kick delivery from David Luiz.
At this point it looked like Manchester United had no hope of gaining any points, this meant serious concentration and a change of game play – or maybe a miracle would have done the job.
Goal 4 and 5 (58th and 69th minutes): The miracle the Red Devils were seeking for arrived and referee Howard Webb granted two penalties to Man Utd, Wayne Rooney took both and scored both times.
Goal 6 (84th minute): Javier Hernandez scored a close range header at this point levelling up the game, this is the point the score board showed 3-3.
